Skin MD review and Giveaway - a bottle for YOU:)

As promised, I'm posting the review of Skin MD Natural Shielding lotion I got from Skin MD company. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. The bottle says you can use it on the face, body and hands, so I've tried it all around my body to give a round review on it. Check their site on ingredients, every ingredient is explained in detail.

Face:

My skin type is mixed to oily, so I was a bit afraid that the lotion might encourage the outburst of acnae on my skin, but it did not, at least not more than they would normally come out:). It really absorbes into your skin in no time, without leaving a greasy feeling on it and gives the moisturized effect. I applied it in the morning and before bed time time. A small amount takes you a long way, so a bottle would be enough, if you use it only on your face, for a long long time. If your skin is oily and acnae prone, you should be careful, but if it normal or even dry, go for it!

Body:

One of the main ingredients is Aloe Vera, which is known for it's soothing effect. Therefore I used the lotion after depilating my legs. And it worked great! It calmed down the redness leaving the skin smooth.

Hands:

I just love to use it on my hands! There is no greasy feeling like with majority of hand creams, just moisturized, soft skin on your hands, although I use it only 2 times a day. The cuticles are nourished and supple.

Do you have experiences with this lotion? Would you like to try it?

There was a bottle for me and Skin MD kindly offered a bottle for you, my lovely readers and commenters!

Just be a follower and post a comment with your email:) I'll draw one (1) winner who will get her/his bottle shipped directly from Skin MD.

The giveaway ends on Monday Midnight (1st February 2010) Slovenia time.

Good luck:*

Konaded Mannequin Hands

As promised or anticipated;) I bring you yesterday's NOTD with a konad over it. I used one of my new plates, Konad image plate m69 and Konad special nail polish in white, as well as 1 coat of Poshe fast drying top coat.

What do you think of the colour combination? I think it reminds me a bit of coffee and milk/cream:)

Catrice Nude sensation LE - Attempt at Mannequin hands

Not so long ago, the European brand named Catrice launched it's new Limited Edition Nude sensations. As I was looking for a polish similar to Essence Iced Chai Latte I stumbled across this one because it seemed similar to it. Though the shimmer is more evident in Iced Chai Latte, it is still present in Nude Beige, which is also a bit lighter shaded. While Iced Chai Latte required only 1 coat, I had to do 3 coats of Nude Beige 1 coat of Nailtek f.2 to get full coverage, at least it dried pretty quickly:)

SO here it is and I wanted to create the mannequin hands with it, decide for yourself whether I've succeeded;)

What do you think of the colour? What are your experiences with nude polishes?

Thank you, dear readers and followers, have a nice and polished day:*

Essie Lollipop red&black konadicure

Here's the last from Essie's collection 'Sweet time of the year', the Lollipop with a konadicure.

There are 2 coats in the picture. Stamping was done with Konad special nail polish in black and image plate m71. The top coat in the pictures is 3-way glaze from Essie. As you can see it really gives an extra shine to manicure:)

What do you think of the konadicure and choice of colours?

Essie Mint candy apple konadicure

Another quick pot today, as I'm in the hurry to go to work:)

2 coats of Essie Mint candy apple swatched and reviewed here, Konad special nail polish in white and Konad image plate m65. I'm not sure whether I like it or not, the konadicure did not turn out as I expected, but still here it is;)

What you think of it? Yay or nay?

Essie Rocky candy french konadicure - quicky

 Good morning:)

A quick post today. There are 3 coats of Essie Rock candy which is a part of Essie holiday collection swatched and reviewed HERE. I think it really looks great for french manicure, 2 coats of it would be just fine too. For the tips I used Konad special nail polish in white and fauxnad P32. No top coat. All pics were taken in lightbox with flash.

Thank you, dear readers and commenters, have a nice and polished start the week:*

Essie ''Sweet Time of the Year'', review and swatches

Recently I got a package from the Slovenian web shop Čarodejka Essie's distributor in Slovenia, however they sell Essie polishes also internationally and the owner promised to translate their site into English very soon. The prices are reasonable, especially for Europe, Essie polish costs 9€ (around 7,90 British pound).

Now for the swatches:) I must warn you, this post is going to be picture heavy, prepare;)

The package included the mini versions of Rock Candy, Mint Candy Apple, Lollipop and 3-way glaze which functions as base coat, strenghtener and top coat. I used the latter as my base coat during swatching, it gives a splendid shine to nails, though it does not dry as quickly as Nailtek f.2. I had no application problems at all, all 3 applied gorgeously. Thy also have a great shine on their own, as there is not top coat used in pictures. Pictures taken in the lightbox are the most colour accurate.

Mint Candy Apple, Lollipop, Rock Candy, 3-way glaze

Rock Candy

A sheer pale pink jelly. I applied 3 coats, but as you can see in the pictures it is still not opaque, I think it will look great for french manicures and already have one in my mind:)

On to the pics:

The first was taken with flash, no artificial light

The second was taken in the lightbox with flash

As well as the third, but there's no flash

Mint Candy Apple

Gorgeous pastel minty green, perhaps I could go away with only one a bit thicker coat, but I applied two rather thin ones. Smooth application indeed.

Flash/no artificial light (not colour accurate)

Lightbox, flash

Lightbox, no flash

Lollipop

I'm in love with reds:) This one applied like a dream, 2 coats needed, although I could do another one, as there was a bit of visible smile line, but I like it this way. If you have shorter nails, 2 would do just fine. This one is a gorgeous bright red jelly colour.

Flash, no artificial light

Lightbox, flash

Lightbox, no flash

What do you think of the colours? Which one do you own?

Thank you, dear readers and commenters, and of course a big thanks to Čarodejka that enabled this review. Have a great and polished weekend*

LCN 264 KOTD - grey&silver quicky

A quicky today:)

For this konadicure I used one of my new konad image plates from my last haul, namely the m73 and for the silver stamping China glaze Millenium (best stamping silver ever IMO:P ). Not top coat in the pics. First and last pic were taken in the lightbox and artificial light, the second with flash.

Do you like this image and colour combination?

LCN 264 swatch and NOTD

This is my very first LCN nail polish, the number is 264 (no particular name). It's a one coater over Nailtek f.2, the drying time is pretty long, but as I've heard this is normal for LCN polishes. The colour is shimmery silver grey with a hint of dusty purple, I think the pictures capture it well. I also used 1 coat of Essie g2g top coat.

What do you think of the colour? Do you own any LCN nail polishes? How are you satisfied with the quality? Do you have the same problems with drying time?

Thank you, dear readers and commenters, have a nice and polished day:*

Essence All Access- green&silver konadicure

I just could not leave yesterday's manicure without a konad over it:P I chose Konad image plate m65 and China glaze Millenium, which is my favourite silver polish for making my konadicures. There not topcoat over it. First pic was taken with flash, no artificial lamp. The second and third were taken in my lightbox, with flash and artificial light.

What do you think of the konadicure? Does it suit the polish?

Green goodness-Essence All Access swatch

Hey,

how you're doing? I have got a gorgeous green for you today, which you've probably seen already, but never mind, here's my version of it;) It's a one coater, applied over Nailtek f.2, and the swatch is made without the top coat. All pictures were taken inside my lightbox with artificial lamp and flash. The application was great and smooth.

What do you think of the colour? Own anything like it?

A quick konadicure and guest nails

Hello, Lovelies!

How was/is your weekend? Hope you're all fine and great:)

Here's a konadicure I did to a friend of mine. The polishes used over 1 coat of Essence Ridge filler are 1 coat of Mavala 83 Nancy and 2 coats of Avon Perfectly flesh. Over that I made a konadicure with Konad Special nail polish in white and konad image plate m73. At the end I added 1 coat of Poshe fast drying top coat. Sorry for a bit unsharp pics, they were taken in hurry;) What do you think of the konadicure? Yay or nay? I'm into nude polishes lately, what do you think of this trend?

Thank you, dear readers and commenters, have a nice and polished start of the new week:*
